When I Work Staff Scheduling App Reviews

The app is fairly easy to use. I do wish there was an undo button I could use when setting up my schedule. Sometimes I take a shift, and then need to drop it before the schedule closes. I can drop it, but Im not sure if its truly dropped until the schedule is closed and posted. It does work with Google calendar beautifully.

My small business has been using this app for a month now, and were about ready to switch. Shift viewing and shift swapping works (kind of-- you can only swap whole shifts, not partial), but nothing else does. WorkChat is completely broken. Comments appear out of order, and update at random. Sometimes a comment will become visible days after it is posted. Currently I can see someone replying to a comment that I cant see. How is it possible that I received a push with a comment from 11am, but cant see the earlier comment (which some of us can see) from 10:30 am? Notifications are broken-- they just dont appear in most cases. There is only one channel for communication, a public channel. There is the ability to send private messages, but only between a manager and one other employee. And there is no ability to REPLY to private messages. You either send a new message or you switch to email, there are no conversations.

Has some bugs - sometimes wont let me clock in and I have to delete the app and reinstall. Never thinks Im at the location when I do clock in.

Like the old saying goes all good things must come to an end. They were great, thats WERE. As long time customers we have decided to move on after several attempts to reach WhenIWork regarding recurring issues. Gadgets are great but customer service is better. We refuse to continue to pay to be ignored. Deuces.

Great tool for managing shifts and workers. We use for non-profit thrift shop and it works v well for us. It is very easy to use and has a lot of convenient features. Very versatile application and fully functional. I would recommend it to anyone. It has both good desktop features and mobile features for both managers and users.

Interface for the app is good. Alerts and messaging system works for me.

Love this app

This is so wonderful! We use it to schedule people who are going on installs throughout the state and we used to have text and call everyone individually and then they would call and ask for directions. Now everything is right there in the app. So much easier and less stressful!

I get alerts when my schedule is updated, reminders when I have a shift coming up, and can easily put up one of my shifts for trade with a coworker if I need. Handy and easy-to-use app.
